Vision

We invest in real estate, but more importantly, we realize dreams by creating the ideal spaces for people, the end-users of our investments. One driver for our investments is the growth in popularity of urban living, especially in key international cities. The aim is to provide access to the city lifestyle, which is an increasing challenge due to the shortage of quality real estate in many markets. Investing in new, more sustainable real estate is helping to solve this societal problem.

Our strategy is to use our vision, creativity and knowledge to make the right investment decisions. We are always looking for opportunities in new fields of operation where we can cooperate with local and international partners to have the biggest positive impact on people’s lives as possible.

We invest in real estate, but more importantly, we realize dreams by creating the ideal spaces for people, the eventual users of our developments.

History

Our origins are found in listed Dutch construction company Verenigde Bedrijven Bredero N.V. (VBB) which was founded in 1963 in Utrecht.

In 1976 Bredero expanded into Western Germany, with further expansions into France, England, Scotland, Canada and the USA.

In 1987 Bredero was delisted and in 1989 its name was changed to Breevast N.V. and relisted again on the stock market.

In 1999 Frank Zweegers became a shareholder, when Breevast N.V. acquired his property portfolio. This also resulted in the delisting of Breevast and the relocation from Utrecht to Amsterdam.

Breevast has approximately 1.7 million m2 of real estate under management, representing more than EUR 3 billion in invested assets. It includes assets such as the office building on Spaklerweg 1 in Amsterdam, currently in use by DNB (Dutch Central Bank) and Nationale Nederlanden. The mainly residential development pipeline has a size of approximately 600,000 m2, including large scale projects in the Randstad area, Eindhoven and Luxembourg.
