De eerste steenlegging van Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam
11 november 2025: Maandag 10 november, markeerde een bijzonder moment voor de Nederlandse hospitality scene: de officiële eerstesteenlegging van Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam (opening 2027). Met deze stap maakt het wereldberoemde Nobu Hospitality, opgericht door Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro en Meir Teper, zijn intrede in Nederland.
De drie oprichters reisden samen met Nobu Hospitality CEO Trevor Horwell naar Amsterdam als onderdeel van hun Europese tour, om persoonlijk aanwezig te zijn bij dit bijzondere moment: de start van hun eerste project in Nederland, dat in samenwerking met en onder leiding van vastgoedontwikkelaar en -investeerder Breevast wordt gerealiseerd.
Een feestelijke ceremonie en een exclusieve preview van Nobu Amsterdam
De ochtend begon op de bouwlocatie met de officiële ceremonie, waarbij de drie oprichters samen met Trevor Horwell en Henk Brouwer, CEO van Breevast, symbolisch de eerste steen legden. Aansluitend modereerde Jort Kelder de persconferentie, waarin de visie achter het project werd toegelicht. Vanuit het verhoogde paviljoen genoten de aanwezigen van een panoramisch uitzicht op de bouw van de twee torens van Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam, ontworpen door architecten UNStudio en Ben van Berkel. Daarna kregen zij een exclusieve
sneak preview van het langverwachte Nobu Amsterdam, het restaurant dat onderdeel wordt van het project, met een indrukwekkend interieur door de gerenommeerde Rockwell Group uit New York.
Henk Brouwer, CEO van Breevast: “Met het leggen van de eerste steen komt de realisatie van Nobu Residences Park Meadows met daarin opgenomen het Nobu Amsterdam restaurant een stap dichterbij. Breevast is trots en vereerd om de partner van Nobu te zijn bij de introductie van een nieuw niveau van luxe op de Nederlandse markt. Nobu Park Meadows Residences Amsterdam omvat in totaal 213 appartementen, waaronder huur- en koopappartementen.’’

Na de ceremonie werd de dag voortgezet met een ontspannen boottocht door de Amsterdamse grachten, op uitnodiging van Breevast. Genodigden en partners uit de vastgoed- en hospitality sector waren aanwezig om dit bijzondere moment mee te vieren. De dag werd afgesloten met een intiem en exclusief diner in het Rijksmuseum, onder het iconische meesterwerk De Nachtwacht.

World-renowned Nobu Hospitality officially arrives in the Netherlands
11 November 2025: Monday 10th November was a landmark moment for the Dutch hospitality scene with the official groundbreaking ceremony of Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam (opening 2027). With this milestone, the world-renowned Nobu Hospitality, founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro, and Meir Teper, officially makes its debut in the Netherlands.
The three founders, together with Nobu Hospitality CEO Trevor Horwell, traveled to Amsterdam as part of their European tour to be personally present for this special moment: the launch of their first project in the Netherlands, being developed in collaboration with real estate developer and investor Breevast.
A celebratory ceremony and exclusive preview of Nobu Amsterdam
The morning began at the construction site with the official ceremony, where the three founders, with Trevor Horwell, and Henk Brouwer, CEO of Breevast, symbolically laid the first stone. The press conference that followed offered insights into the vision behind the project and was moderated by Dutch TV-personality Jort Kelder. From the elevated pavilion, attendees enjoyed a panoramic view of the construction of the two towers of Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam, designed by UNStudio and Ben van Berkel. They were then given an exclusive sneak preview of the highly anticipated Nobu Amsterdam, the restaurant that will be part of Nobu Residences Park Meadows Amsterdam featuring a striking interior by the renowned Rockwell Group from New York.

After the ceremony, the day continued with a boat tour through the city’s canals, hosted by Breevast. Partners and guests from the real estate and hospitality sectors joined to celebrate this remarkable milestone. The day concluded with an intimate dinner at the Rijksmuseum, beneath Rembrandt’s iconic masterpiece The Night Watch.
